「山の魅力ってなに？」と聞かれた時の最適解はコレなのではないかと密かに思っている。アメリカシエラネバダの "John Muir Trail"（以後JMT）を歩いて散々実感した言葉でもある。（それを確かめに毎年 [実に6回も] セクションハイクしに行ったようなもの）

約340kmあるJMTのほぼ中間地点に位置するMuir Hut(標高3,644m)はJohn Muirの自然保護活動の功績を讃え国立公園に制定される以前(1931年)に建てられた記念碑的避難小屋。

2015年、二度目のセクションハイクでココを通過したのだけど辛かった記憶しか残っていない。気流に乗ってくる山火事の煙の中を高山病で朦朧としながら歩き続けること数時間。10分歩いては10分休憩の繰り返し。休憩時は毎回決まって睡魔に襲われヘンな夢(あるいは幻覚)を見た。歩けども歩けども景色が変わらずどこにも辿り着けないような気がしてたっけ。

でも、あの経験があったからこそ山を甘く見る事はなくなったし、持病の高山病も高度順応出来る事が分かった。順応に4日もかかったけど、それ以降は目に映る全てが輝いて見えたものだ。

自分にとってはただの避難小屋ではなく、初心に戻れるような気が引き締まるような、何処か神聖な場所でもある。詳細を知りたい方は"ブログ"でご確認いただけます。

◇昇華転写プリントの特性と注意事項：

　昇華転写プリントとはあらかじめ専用のシートにデザインをプリントした後、
　印刷物を熱で気化させ、密着させたポリエステル生地に染み込ませる
　特殊なプリント方法です（その為、商品代金も若干割高となりました）。
　生地自体にインクを染み込ませるので、自然な仕上がりになり、
　Dry Teeの最大の特徴である通気性を損なうことが全くありません。
　ただし、アイロンや乾燥機などの熱をかけるとインクが再び気化して色落ち、
　もしくは他の服へ色移りする可能性があります。
　高熱を発するもののご使用はお控え下さい。
